Robin Ritter is an award-winning producer, writer, stunt performer, and actress. Having worked in all facets of the motion picture industry, Robin has accumulated a wealth of experience and know-how, which she brings to every production on which she works.

As an actress, Robin has appeared in a wide variety of popular television shows, including NYPD Blue, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and The X-Files, and movies such as David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive. She co-starred in René Besson’s acclaimed feature Boxes, which premiered on the Independent Film Channel, and which was heralded by Film Threat magazine as “an angry, intelligent, amazing, insightful, funny film. Do not miss this movie.”

As a stunt performer, Robin has performed alongside some of the top stunt coordinators in the business, including Greg Anderson (Minority Report, Con Air, Casino, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Mark Steven Grove (3 Ninjas, Mad Love, and Highlander – the Series).

As a producer, Robin has been a pioneer on several fronts.  In 1999, she was one of the first filmmakers to produce an all-digital feature film, Specter’s Rock. That film, in which Robin also starred, featured a cast of over sixty actors (including Michael Anderson, from Twin Peaks and Carnivale), and required over forty locations. Despite the ambitious nature of the project, principle photography was completed on time and under budget.

Specter’s Rock went on to become a featured selection at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival (where the festival’s director described it as “a surreal, comedic thriller”), and it was screened at Cannes and the AFM. The editors of the online magazine Gathering Darkness included it on their list of “Must See” horror, sci-fi, and fantasy films. However, the most rewarding moment for Robin came when David Lynch, with whom Robin had previously worked on Mulholland Drive, personally chose Specter’s Rock to be included as a special feature on the Season 1 DVD of Twin Peaks.

Robin was a pioneer once again in her next effort as a producer. The Caretaker was one of the very first films to explore in-depth the serious but rarely-discussed problem of elder abuse.  In this 2001 film, Robin not only produced, but also co-starred alongside industry vets including Anne-Marie Howard (Days of Our Lives, Shopgirl, The Weather Man). The high quality of The Caretaker convinced veteran composer Nicholas Pike (The Shining, Sleepwalkers, Showtime’s Masters of Horror series, HBO’s Baghdad ER) to create an original score for the film.

Once again, Robin’s efforts did not go unnoticed. The Caretaker won the Gold Special Jury Award at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.
